When the weather turns from sunny to wintry, drive confidently on Goodyear's Assurance Fuel Max tires. These tires have an all-season tread design that not only enhances your dry and wet traction but also increases your fuel efficiency. In fact, the Assurance CS Fuel Max can save you nearly 2,600 gallons of gas over the tire's lifetime. Combined with a 65,000-mile warranty, you have the confidence to drive for years without hassle.

Goodyear's Fuel-Efficient, All-Season Tires

Goodyear creates the Assurance CS Fuel Max with a fuel-saving tread compound, which reduces rolling resistance and increases your fuel economy. This tire also has reinforced construction for handling a variety of load weights. The Assurance has an optimized cavity shape that maintains direct contact with the road for greater handling and responsiveness.

In wet and wintry conditions, the tire's center wet zone grips the road for improved traction and performance. The dual AquaChannel grooves ensure better hydroplaning resistance while the lateral sipes assist with wet and winter traction. The tire's outer dry zone increases your handling and grip while cornering even at high speeds. This tire fits on a range of crossovers and SUVs for maximum all-season performance.

I put these Goodyears on to replace the Toyos I had. With one extended trip (1400 miles and loaded down) under our belt, the new tires ride quieter and softer than the Toyos. They also carry the same wear guarantee as the Toyos. Most importantly, the cost for the four new tires was substantially lower than if we had replaced the Toyos with Toyos. So we are truly satisfied customers. Thanks Kauffman Tire!

Unlike the Goodyear Wrangler tire, which I have purchased in the past and would rate 5-stars, this Goodyear Assurance CS Fuel Max tire does not perform well on dry surfaces. It frequently "spins" when pulling away from a stop sign or a stop light instead of immediately gripping the road. The tire does perform very well on wet surfaces and while driving on the highway.

After driving on these tires on an extended highway trip the way they rode and handled convinced me that the purchase was a sound decision. They ride very quiet and are very responsive. Very satesfied and will probably continue to use this tire in the future. I have the same tires on my wife's car.

So far, so good. The tires ride very smooth. It is still too early to judge durability since I've only had them for over a month now but I have always had good service from Goodyear tires. Ask me again about these tires at around the 50-60 K mile mark.

The truck came with Michelins that I replaced at 70,000 miles with Rhodian tires. I replaced teh Rhodian tires with these Goodyear tires at 142,000 miles. They have a very smooth ride but they are "swimmy" with too much flex in the sidewalls. I notice this during sudden highway lane changes to avoid dangerous drivers. On cornering, if I hit railroad tracks or minor potholes, I loose contact with the road, all 4 wheels, and the truck "jumpsa lane". This never happened with my Michelins or Rhodians. It scared the mess out of me. The same loss of contact occurs with the rear wheels when I accelerate from dead stop making a right or left turn to enter a hole in traffic which is very un-nerving. This never happened with my Michelins or Rhodians. Now I have to wait for bigger holes in traffic and use a slower entry. I suspected a different load range, but just checked against my original Michelin spare and they are identical specs. Perhaps the side walls are different. One really bad problem is the tread width spacing is larger and picks up large road gravel. At 50-70mph, the gravel flings them at my wheel with an audible "knack" so my protective paint is being gravel blasted away. Although they have good stopping grip on rain soaked roads and shallow puddles and are listed at a good price, I'm not sure that I would purchase them again.
